England Match Shirts

Bryan Robson's match worn shirt, believed to have been worn in England's second group game, a goal less draw with Holland in Cagliari on 16th June.

The shirt comes with excellent provenance, a letter signed by Robson on Middlesbrough FC headed paper confirming that he wore this shirt in the World Cup Tournament. The shirt is also signed front and back. The reason we believe it is from the match against Holland is because another collector has a match worn Robson from Italia '90, "probably from the game against the Republic of Ireland". Because for the second World Cup in succession, England lost their captain to an injury, after only playing in two games, this must therefore have been worn in this second game against the Netherlands. Robson was substituted with an achilles tendon injury, which would eventually keep him out of the rest of the tournament.
